Inauguration: Senators congratulate Buhari, hail colleagues turned Governors

The Senate, in the course of its plenary session yesterday, congratulated President Muhmmadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on their successful inauguration  on May 29, 2015. This was as they urged their colleagues who have been elected governors to observe the Rule of Law and strive to maintain the integrity of the National Assembly.

Members of the federal parliament who are now governors include the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto state); Senator Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta); Ben Ayade (Cross River); Bindo Jibrilla (Adamawa), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Aminu Masari (Katsina).

The resolutions of the senate were made after a motion sponsored by Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba and supported by 101 other senators.
