LOUIS VAN GAAL is eager to axe Nani this summer - to fund a deal for Liverpool ace Raheem Sterling.
He farmed the winger out to Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal during the current campaign.
And according to reports Inter Milan are ready to take the 28-year-old off United's hands.
Nani's
departure will free up funds for a bid for Liverpool star Sterling, who it is
claimed wants a move to Old Trafford.
Reports
this morning suggested United are ready to open the bidding for the England man
with a £25m offer.
And
according to the Guardian, Sterling wants to join Liverpool's
bitter rivals.
They
claim the player is aware of the uproar a transfer would create on Merseyside,
and of his club's stance of not doing business with United.
Sterling
is set to force an exit this summer, two years before his Liverpool deal expires.
The
20-year-old has rejected a £100,000-per-week offer from the Kop giants, and his
agent Aidy Ward allegedly told the Evening Standard that his client
would not renew for £900,000-per-week.
