Koforidua came to a virtual standstill as thousands thronged the
Koforidua Polytechnic to witness the star-studded line-up of artistes as
they performed at the Vodafone X concert.
The Vodafone X Concert, organised to reward Vodafone X users in
tertiary institutions, saw Sarkodie, Pappy Kojo and Joey B giving the
expectant crowd a night of unforgettable performances. Various
underground artistes set the tone for the concert, with the teeming
crowd yearning for more after each performance.
The crowd went berserk as Pappy Kojo started singing his hit ‘Realer
no’ which features Joey B. The two had revelers singing along as they
performed. Joey B also ‘tore it up’ with heart-racing performances of
his various hits including ‘Tonga’.
Ghana’s multiple award-winning rapper and BET nominated artiste,
Sarkodie did not fail the audience as he dropped hit song after hit
song. He exhibited great showmanship as he engaged the audience to sing
along with him throughout his performance.
Commenting on the event, Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director of Vodafone Ghana said:
"Vodafone X Concert has, for the past year, delivered exceptional
musical experiences to customers in tertiary institutions across the
country. The Vodafone ‘X’ product was designed to confidently connect
and empower the Ghanaian youth, and we are excited that we are able to
deliver this and many more fantastic experiences on a consistent basis".
Sharing his experience, Kekeli Patrick Agbeko, a final year student of
Koforidua Polytechnic said, “Students of this school have never been
entertained like this before. We are grateful to Vodafone for bringing
top notch artistes to our doorsteps”,
Patience Safoah Essien, a student of the school added to rave reviews.
"Vodafone promised to give us the best show ever and they did. In fact,
they exceeded our expectations and we are excited."
The Vodafone X Concert has since its inception evolved as the best
youth platform where tertiary institutions across the country are served
with quality entertainment at their doorsteps.
