Football Transfer News Update

VILLAS BOAS TURNS DOWN MILAN
Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has turned down the chance to take over as AC Milan manager after the current Zenit boss called the Serie A club 'a mess', writes The Sunday Times.

SPURS KEEN ON MARTIAL
Tottenham are keen to sign Monaco forward Anthony Martial, according to The Telegraph.
We told you earlier that reports in France suggest a €25m deal has been agreed between the two clubs but The Telegraph understands negotiations are still continuing.

BARCA INTERESTED IN POGBA
Barcelona are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the club's president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The Champions League winners are also thought to be closing in on a deal for Sevilla full-back Aleix Vidal but due to the club's current transfer embargo, he would not be able to join the squad until next January.
The same would apply on any potential deal for Pogba but it did not stop Bartomeu declaring his interest in the Frenchman.
“Pogba is a great player and it’s true he is one of our objectives,” Bartomeu told french media outlet Telefoot. “Obviously we are interested in Pogba, but I cannot say any more than that. We cannot sign anybody before January, so I can’t say more.”

HAMMERS IN TALKS WITH BILIC
West Ham have met with Slaven Bilic regarding the vacant manager's job but have not decided whether to appoint him or not, according to The Telegraph.
The former Hammers star is thought to be keen on the top job at Upton Park but the club are still talking to other candidates.
