West Brom are in talks with Real Madrid over a deal for midfielder Cristian Benavente, reports the Mail On Sunday.


SPURS ON VERGE OF MARTIAL DEAL?
Reports in France suggest Tottenham are on the verge of completing a deal for Monaco's highly-rated forward Anthony Martial.
According to France Football, Spurs are closing in on a €25m deal for the 19-year-old.


QPR HOPE FOR NEW GREEN DEAL
QPR are hopeful Robert Green will sign a new deal despite interest from Premier League champions Chelsea, writes the Sun On Sunday.
HAMMERS MUST PAY £10M FOR SONG
West Ham have been told they will need to cough up £10m if they want to sign Barcelona midfielder Alex Song on a permanent deal, reports the Star On Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the Sunday Mirror reported Southampton were in pole position to sign the former Arsenal star and would need to pay £8m for his services.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is close to signing Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula, reports the Sun On Sunday.


BRITISH CLUBS FIGHT FOR SOUTH KOREA SKIPPER
South Korea captain Kim Young-Gwon is a target for a number of British clubs, including Southampton, Sunderland and Celtic, according to the Star On Sunday.
The 25-year-old is out of in contract in December with Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande and could be available for a cut price fee.


LEVERKUSEN SIGN SCHALKE DEFENDER
The Greece international spent four seasons with Schalke before joining Roger Schmidt's side on loan last summer, going on to make 14 Bundesliga appearance and scoring twice.
“Kyriakos Papadopoulos sees his future at Leverkusen,” explained Schalke's sporting director Horst Heldt. “We have met his wishes and give him our best.”


WOLVES LEAD RACE FOR GAYLE
Championship side Wolves are leading the chase for Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, according to the Sunday Express.
Newly promoted Premier League side Bournemouth are also thought to be interested in the 25-year-old.

UNITED RECEIVE GUNDOGAN BOOST
Manchester United have received a boost in the chase for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan with Barcelona apparently shocked at the player’s wage demands. 
Reports from earlier this week suggested Barca representatives had flown to Spain to meet with Gundogan and strike a deal. 
However, according to Turkish media outlet DHA the player is asking for £170,000-a-week in wages - £60,000-a-week more than Barca are thought to be willing to offer.


 
REDS IN FOR OGBONNA
Liverpool are targeting a move for another Juventus player with defender Angelo Ogbonna high on Brendan Rodgers’ wish list, according to ESPNFC.

Liverpool are thought to have sent scouts to the Champions League final in the hope of running the rule over the Italy international but he could only make the substitutes bench as the Serie A champions lost 3-1 to Barcelona in Berlin.

MCCLAREN SET FOR NEWCASTLE
Steve McClaren will be named Newcastle head coach when he returns from holiday later this week, according to the Sunday Express.



INTER PLAN CUADRADO RAID
Inter Milan are trying to sign Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Reports suggest Roberto Mancini is targeting a loan move for the former Fiorentina star next season with a view to a €25m permanent move in the summer of 2016.


ATLETI KEEN ON FRANCE U21 STAR
Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on Nice full-back Jordan Amavi, reports L’Equipe.
The La Liga side are on the hunt for a new left-back and have been linked with several players, including Chelsea’s Filipe Luis and Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal.
Now, according to L’Equipe, they are monitoring Nice’s France under-21 international Amavi, who is also on Lyon’s radar.


BARCA SET TO ANNOUCNE VIDAL DEAL
Barcelona are set to announce that have they reached an agreement to sign Sevilla’s Aleix Vidal in the coming hours, according to Marca.
The Champions League winners have spent several days negotiating with the Europa League champions over the transfer of Vidal, who has impressed since moving to Unai Emery’s side from Almeria last season.
Barca want to announce the deal as early as possible, while they plan to present him as their new player next week, although he won’t be able to play for them until their FIFA sanction ends in January 2016.
Marca also adds that Barca plan to press ahead with the signing of the right-back irrespective of whether Dani Alves stays at the club.


LIVERPOOL IN SHOCK TEVEZ MOVE
Liverpool are closing in on a shock swoop for Juventus striker Carlos Tevez, according to Tuttomercatoweb
The former Manchester United and City star has been linked with a move away from the Champions League runners-up in recent months and reports suggest Liverpool are in pole position for his signature.


PALACE EYE FORMER NEWCASTLE DUO
Crystal Palace are reportedly trying to reunite Alan Pardew with former Newcastle stars  Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy, according to the Express.


Robin van Persie's quotes regarding Juventus have failed to sway Sky Bet's transfer betting, with the Dutchman still odds-on to join Lazio, while he is 4/1 to move to the Champions League runners-up. Remaining at Manchester United is now deemed unlikely at 8/1.


REAL STARLET SET FOR LOAN
Real Madrid are planning to loan out midfielder Lucas Silva ahead of next season, according to AS
Silva arrived at the Bernabeu in January following a €14m move from Cruzeiro but managed only three starts in the second half of 2014-15. 
The return of the youngster’s Brazilian compatriot Casemiro from his loan spell means that Madrid now have four non-EU players in their squad – they are permitted to have three – and the club will look to loan out Silva before the start of the next campaign. 
Silva is viewed as one for the future at the Bernabeu.


NEWCASTLE MAKE AUSTIN TOP TARGET
Newcastle are ready to make Charlie Austin their top transfer target once Steve McClaren takes charge at St James’ Park, reports the Newcastle Chronicle.
Newcastle are thought to be ready to announce McClaren’s appointment as head coach and are set to launch a bid for the QPR striker.


EVERTON INTERESTED IN DANN
Crystal Palace face a difficult battle to keep hold of Scott Dann, with the defender keen on a move back to the north, according to the Sunday People.
Everton are reportedly interested in a move for the 28-year-old, who was born in Liverpool.


AL HABSI IN DEMAND
Tottenham, West Ham and Reading are set to battle it out for the signature of goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi, according to the Daily Mail.
The 33-year-old is out of contract after leaving Wigan and with Tottenham, West Ham and Reading all needing goalkeeping reinforcements following the departures of Brad Fiedel, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Adam Federici respectively, Al Habsi is thought to be in demand.


IMMOBILE SET FOR ITALY RETURN?
Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile could be heading back to Italy Italy with Roma, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Reports suggest the Italian forward would like a return to his homeland due to family reasons  and Dortmund would allow him to move for  €14m.


MONACO EYE MIRALLAS
Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is on Monaco’s radar ahead of next season, reports Het Laatste Nieuws.

The Belgium international’s future has been subject to heavy speculation over the past year as he has expressed his desire to play Champions League football.

Monaco, who finished third in Ligue 1 this season, have qualified for the third qualifying round of the Champions League and could offer Mirallas the chance to play in Europe’s top club competition.

Het Laatste Nieuws reports that the Principality side are admirers of the Belgian, who is out of contract at Goodison Park in 2016.


CHELSEA LOOK FOR 'TWO OR THREE'
Jose Mourinho says Chelsea will be looking to add ‘two or three players’ to the squad this summer.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the Blues boss said: “It will be difficult to find players to go straight into the team.
"Because it's not easy to find a better striker than Diego (Costa), a better keeper than (Thibaut) Courtois, a better midfield player than (Nemanja) Matic or (Cesc) Fabregas.
“This season is about improving the squad, bringing players to make us more consistent, so we don't go through difficult periods like last season when we had crucial injuries.”
