The Sun are reporting that Tottenham are ready to use Ettiene Capoue as leverage to sign Marseille midfielder Gianelli Imbula. Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bulk up his midfield this summer and Imbula has been earmarked as the man to help Tottenham return to the Champions League. The 22-year-old has drawn comparisons with Claude Makelele in the past and could be the new midfield enforcer at White Hart Lane. Moussa Dembele and Paulinho both had disappointing seasons last term and the arrival of Imbula will freshen up their midfield. Marseille want £18million for the midfielder, but Daniel Levy is insistent on reducing that figure and has put forward Capoue to help their chances of landing the star. As well as Capoue, Benjamin Stambouli has also been suggested as a potential tool for securing Imbula. Capoue has struggled to adapt to his surroundings since his move from Toulouse and is keen on a return to Ligue 1.
